Read-Only Task Fields

When adding a new field to a task, hosts have the option of adding a read-only field.

These allow hosts to share information with partners for approval or to distribute partner-specific information. Examples of this in use could be artwork for approval, ticket redemption codes, or any other host defined input that needs to be uniquely shared and not edited by a partner.

Adding a Read-Only Field

Start by creating or editing a task.

Read-only options are available when adding a task field.

Select read-only for information you’re looking to provide and not allow editing by partners. Finish adding any additional fields, description, and assignments as needed, then click Save and Publish.

Adding Read-Only Information

Once the task is published with the read-only field, hosts will retain editing ability. There are two options for adding information to the read-only field, either in bulk using the Results view or modifying per-partner.

To update per partner, navigate to the task and use the three-dots next to any assigned partner to view their specific assignment. Hosts can then add in the partner-specific information.

In this example, we’re adding a short discount code, adding in a unique code per partner.

Read-only fields can be referenced and copied, but not modified by the partner. Their view will feature a grey background

To update in bulk, navigate to Host Settings > Tasks and select the individual task with the read-only field. Click the three-dots icon to select Results.

This view will allow editing for text, short answer, select, and radio field types. Double-click into any cell to enter the needed information per partner. Clicking outside the box will save the information automatically. Additional work is underway to support file, checkbox group, yes/no field types, as well as supporting interface upgrades.
