Self registration allows a host to create shareable links to be sent to organizations or individuals you wish to join your project. When set up correctly, self registration allows for a seamless self onboarding process.
Creating Self Registration Links
Navigate to the project in your PartnerHQ dashboard where you want to enable self registration.
Within the Host Settings navigation options, click Settings and select the Self Registration tab at the top.
Click Add Self Registration Link (or New if this is not your first self registration link).
Add the name, an optional welcome or onboarding message and assign any tags that are pertinent to the partners using this registration link.
Connecting Tasks and Resources with Tags
Having tags assigned to a self registration link makes onboarding much easier. For our example, I’m creating a self registration link for Silver Sponsors. This group has specific onboarding requirements tied directly to their sponsorship tier. The Silver Sponsor tag is assigned to the silver level registration link and their associated tasks and resources. When a new partner registers using the silver sponsor link, they’ll have those resources and tasks already assigned to them to get started. Optionally, you can assign an initial task for collecting sponsorship payment before providing additional next steps.
You can create multiple self registration links depending on your needs. In this case, there are two tiers of sponsorship for our example PartnerHQ Event: gold and silver. I can create a self registration link for Gold Sponsors and Silver Sponsors. As mentioned above, this is useful when different partners are required to submit different things or have separate obligations to the project.
Now, after you’ve shared your self registration links with the appropriate partner(s), they’ll see this when beginning their onboarding process.
Once your partner has signed up for PartnerHQ, they’ll be able to view their organization’s resources and tasks that were assigned to them when they used the silver sponsor registration link.
